At Republic of Texas Whitetails, we believe that maintaining robust Artificial Insemination and Embryo Transfer programs is vital to staying at the forefront of the deer industry. These two annual programs allow us to infuse the genetics of the most exclusive, elite, desirable and proven sires in the deer industry into some of our most powerful and proven doe. Whether we elect to maintain the genetic influence of a particularly powerful ancestor through Line – Breeding or we choose to pursue Heterosis and Outcross our genetics to explore Hybrid (F1) Vigor, these programs afford us the opportunity to breed each female in our program to the unique sire that, in our judgment, is best suited to her.

Surgical breeding techniques, like these, are certain to be physically demanding, time consuming, expensive and risky. Although a certain amount of disappointment and failure is expected, we believe that the rewards are well worth it. One thing is for sure, we have learned many lessons along the way. Someone once said that Good judgement comes from experience, and experience well, that comes from poor judgment.At Republic of Texas Whitetails, we have received a healthy dose of ‘experience’ over the years.
